Loch Ness monster is no monster but, probably, a huge catfish

Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, may not really be a monster but is, most likely, a large catfish – this is the opinion of an expert who has spent 24 years searching for Nessie. He is 52-year-old Steve Feltham and he gave up his home, his job and his girlfriend to move closer to the haunt of legendary character in the Scottish loch.

He admitted that he cannot lay claim to have solved the mystery of Nessie but, from all the evidence available, he has concluded that it is most likely a Wels catfish. These can grow up to four meters (13ft) in length long and weigh over 400-Kg.
He has relied on modern equipment and gadgets and has claimed that sonar contact had picked up objects in the loch that were the size of an estate car. This, despite the fact that the biggest creatures known in the loch were salmon and seals that sometimes chase them.
Obviously, a huge catfish would be totally out of place in the loch. And, stories would be woven around sighting of such creatures once in a while.

In the latest case, some Sasquatch enthusiasts are of the opinion that the footage shot at Yellowstone National Park shows not one but four of the mythological creatures known as Big Foot. As reported in news.sky.com dated 6 February 2015, the footage is of bison roaming around in a snow-covered park and, suddenly, four creatures walking upright appear in the background.
The footage was posted by user Mary Greeley and has, reportedly, been watched some 40,000 times since the end of December. The video had captured the scene on camera near the tourist attraction's Old Faithful geyser but, it cuts away before the camera can get close enough to look at the creatures.
Bigfoot is believed to have flat feet - similar to a human's - and a footprint that spans over 40cm and enthusiasts keep hoping to lay hands on evidence that could prove the existence of such a creature that is widely thought to be fictional. In the opinion of scientists, most of the supposed sightings are cases of misidentification of other animals or hoaxes.

The catch was from the water near Lakes Entrance in Victoria's east. It has been described as a dark brown, eel-like looking creature and is also known as the 'living fossil'. That name is due to its six pairs of frill-like gills along with its dorsal fins.
The shark's origin is believed to date back 80 million years and is only one of two species still alive from this period. The South East Trawl Fishing Association (SETFA) chief executive Simon Boag has reportedly informed that the men who landed the catch were puzzled because it had 300 teeth over 25 rows – obviously, once it caught its prey, it just could not escape. It was two meters long and was caught at a depth of 700 meters.
He has also said that it does look to be 80 million years old and belonging to another time. As per the website of SEFTA, the species is found deeper at 1,500 meters.
Mr Boag has also indicated that this was the first ever sighting of the species alive by humans. It seems the creature was offered to CSIRO but it did not want it and it was later sold off.
Who knows whether it has any link to Nessie, the Loch Ness monster!!
