Tornado with windspeed of 95mph ripped through central Britain

A massive tornado with wind-speed of 95mph ripped through a holiday village and destroyed chalets and caravans, and left scenes of 'absolute carnage' as extreme weather swept through central Britain. The location was Clarach Bay, near Aberystwyth, West Wales where chalets were flattened and roofs of houses were ripped off.
More than 550 properties in Wales were without power and yellow weather warnings were hoisted for wind and dangerous driving conditions. Moreover, all bus service was suspended in the area, and a road near the coast was closed because trees were ripped from the ground and twenty caravans blown over.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 17 November 2016.
Several other roads were closed due to fallen trees, and the extreme weather is expected to sweep from Wales in the west across the Midlands while in Hartside, Cumbria, heavy rain turned to snow, which blanketed the hills in the town in eastern Scotland. Forecasters have warned that snow could arrive in other parts of the UK overnight, with the Pennines expected to receive several centimetres.
Students at Aberystwyth University were advised to batten down the hatches and remain because the high winds cancelled lectures and the students were told return to residences, stay indoors, monitor emails.

Appleby Horse Fair in Cumbria brings together thousands of gypsies and horses

Appleby Horse Fair, in the Westmorland area of Cumbria, is the biggest gypsy event in Europe and is a celebration for the community's love of horses as it brings thousands of gypsies and horses - the gypsies arrive in their caravans from all over the world.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 2 June 2016.
The people splash in the river Eden with their horses to participate in the festival which is believed to be about 200 years old. It attracts 30,000 visitors and many of them stay in modern or traditional caravans across huge campsites around the town. Washing the horses is an integral part of the event.
The fair also provides an opportunity for buying or selling horses. The festival is not an officially organized event by a council or group but it is more of a mass get-together with a family atmosphere. However, the 3,000 permanent residents of Appleby do not like the aftermath of the festival - the reason is the amount of trash that is left behind by the revelers.
