India’s dreams of a Utopia vanishing, courtesy arrogant and corrupt ministers

The arrogant attitudes of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and MoS of Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju have harmed the image of our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They have misused their position and taken advantage of their political clout – Fadnavis delayed an international flight going out of India and Rijiju prevailed upon the carriers to offload three passengers to make room for him.
This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 2 July 2015.
Modiji’s dreams of India transforming to Utopia are taking a beating due to such attitudes of his ministers. He, and all Indians like him, want that India become a country that others will look up to and that India will take a lead to chalk out a new global thinking and reincarnation.
Unfortunately, with the incidents of irregular dealings leveled against his senior ministers like Sushma Swaraj, Smriti Irani, and chief minister Vasundhara Raje, the embarrassments he is facing can only be imagined. His problems are confounded by the irregularities leveled against BJP ministers in Maharashtra which is a BJP ruled state.
That is probably the reason of why, like his previous counterpart who had been criticized for his silence on many embarrassing issues, our present Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen to be silent.

DMK wants direct intervention of Prime Minister Modi in the IIT Madras ruckus

#IITMadras #SmritiIrani #Karunanidhi #NarendraModi The leaders of BJP continue to stir the hornet’s nest and give rise to unpleasantness that could have been avoided. The latest one in this list is that of IIT Madras and the ban of a group that was critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This ban is a controversial one because its members are mainly Dalits even the DMK chief Karunanidhi has sought the direct intervention of the Prime Minister for revoking the order.
This has been reported in zeenews.com dated 1 June 2015.
The IIT-M has derecognized the Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle(APSC) based on a complaint that it was critical of Modi. The action had led to protests by political parties including Congress and AAP.
BJP continues to insist that the Union Government was not behind the decision which was taken by the administration of the institute on grounds of misuse of privileges and violation of guidelines. It seems an anonymous letter received by the ministry had been forwarded to IIT Madras for tasking necessary action.
Since IITs are autonomous bodies, the letter could have been ignored by the minister but, by forwarding it to IIT, a situation has arisen that could have been avoided.
PL Punia, chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has revealed that a notice has been issued to IIT-M and a reply has been sought.
Karunanidhi, on his part, has castigated Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani for "authoritarian" interference and derecognition of the students group. He has added that because of this an otherwise peaceful functioning institute has turned into a war zone. He has gone on to add that such "unilateral" and "authoritarian" interference by Modi's ministers will have impact on both the youth of the country and the peace of the nation.

Smriti Irani, hidden camera in trial room and Peeping Toms of Fabindia, Goa

#SmritiIrani #FabIndia #Candolim #Mapusa #MichaelLobo Smriti Irani, a one-time TV actress of Saas-Bahu fame and now a Union HRD Minister in the Modi cabinet had gone shopping in Goa with her husband and she discovered a hidden camera in the trial room of a Fabindia outlet in Candolim. She immediately raised an alarm – the camera was pointed towards the trial room that she had used while trying out some clothes.
This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 5 April 2015.
Four employees of the fashion boutique were arrested for allegedly setting up a CCTV camera which overlooked the store's changing room. They have been granted bail by the Mapusa court. Fabindia's Candolim store manager has also moved Goa court for anticipatory bail in this episode.
Fabindia is a Rs 1,000-crore homegrown lifestyle brand better known for ethnic wear.
The camera had been installed only four months back and footage from the camera, was being recorded in a computer in the manager's office. As revealed by BJP MLA Michael Lobo, there were many recordings of people changing in the trial room.
Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has indicated that stringent action will be taken against the guilty persons. Incidentally, Goa is a BJP ruled state and Smriti Irani is a BJP leader and instances of this nature will hurt the neat and clean image that the party is trying to project for itself. Hidden camera in the trial room robs women of their self respect.
