6000 to 8000 Nepali girls trafficked to Dubai from New Delhi IGI airport


#NepaliGirls #Dubai #IGIAirport A racket of organized trafficking of Nepali girls to Dubai through New Delhi airport has been unearthed by the CBI – it could be just the tip of the iceberg because rough estimates indicate a figure of between 6000 to 8000 girls aged between 20 and 30 who have become victims till December 2014.
It was a multi-agency international operation and was spearheaded by Central Bureau of Investigation – the girls were sent to Dubai for alleged prostitution and the transit point was Delhi's IGI airport for their travelling to the gulf country.
The agency has informed the ministry of external affairs, ministry of home affairs, bureau of immigration and Nepal authorities through Interpol about the organized syndicate, which sends the girls on tourist visas.
The sources said during the inquiry which was being covertly conducted by the agency, probe officers collected information from Foreign Regional Registration Office, Air India, Qatar Airways, Bureau of Immigration and 15 travel agents based in Delhi.
CBI has informed the ministry of external affairs, ministry of home affairs, bureau of immigration and Nepal authorities through Interpol about the organized syndicate, which sends the girls on tourist visas. They are given tickets, provided visa and hotel reservation in Nairobi via Dubai for tourist purposes but, once they reach Dubai, their tickets for Nairobi and hotel bookings are cancelled and they are trapped.
