A total of 80 chefs from all over Italy who took part in creating this massive pizza which was laid upon 800 tables. It has been served up at Milan’s Expo 2015 and whoever comes to the fair can have a taste of this super pizza for free on a first come, first served basis.
This has been reported in news.com.au dated 21 June 2015.
Some other interesting facts – the pizza took three minutes to cook per metre and was prepared in five special-adapted ovens. It was made to celebrate the 126th anniversary of the margherita.
Guinness World Records judge Lorenzo Veltri handed over the crown to Italy who, thus, snatched the title from Spain, which had, till now, held the record with a 1141.5 metres long pizza.
