US President Barack Obama to address the UN General Assembly for the eighth and last time

US President Barack Obama will be addressing the UN General Assembly for the eighth and last time on Tuesday and, in the course of his speech, he is expected to review some of the trends that have been shaping the international order for many years. This has been disclosed by one of his close aides.
President Obama will leave Washington DC for New York on Sunday morning to attend the annual General Assembly Session as the US President.

Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes has informed the media during a conference call that President Obama would possibly offer his thoughts in this final forum to address the entire world about the types of approaches that they need to take as a national community to deal with a myriad of challenges.
He is also likely to talk about "how we can ensure that we're continuing to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth; how we are promoting the type of inclusive governance that both respects the rights of individuals around the world, but also facilitate to the many challenges that we face -- governance obviously being a critical component of what is needed to deal with issues in the Middle East and North Africa -- and then discuss the type of international cooperation we're seeking to build."
Rhodes also added that President Obama could talk on the Paris model because it involves nearly every country in the world who have to step forward and make commitments to work together to deal with the global challenge. The President could also discuss how we can apply international cooperation to deal with the many issues that are shaping this period in time.

Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's collapse at a 9/11 ceremony in New York has not only grabbed global headlines but has also given rise to speculation about the use of a body double as well as fueling rumours about her health.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 13 September 2016.

The conspiracy theory that she was using a body double came up because the footage of her collapse shows her being supported by aides and secret service agents before she loses her footing and gets into a waiting car. Subsequently, she was shifted to her daughter Chelsea's apartment to recover and her team confirming the presidential hopeful was suffering from pneumonia.
However, soon afterwards, she was seen pictured and waving to reporters as she left - she was insisting she felt great. Incidentally, her team intentionally avoided the emergency room probably to conceal details of her medical treatment. Obviously, conspiracy theorists seized the opportunity to speculate that Clinton's quick recovery was all down to a body double and #ClintonsBodyDouble soon began trending on Twitter.

Hacker claims to have hacked into the aircraft system in flight to make it fly sideways

#ChrisRoberts #FBI #securityexpert #hacker A well-known hacker has admitted to FBI that he had, at one time, hacked into the systems of an aircraft while on a flight and made the plane fly sideways. This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 18 May 2015.
If true, this would be a serious matter because there are several security checks on ground to prevent hijack or activities by terrorists to endanger the lives of passengers and crew and, if hackers can take over the control of an aircraft, there is no safety as such.

The individual who has made these claims is Chris Roberts. He has, apparently, told a special agent that he had repeatedly hacked planes' in-flight entertainment systems while aboard the aircraft. It seems in one instance he had overwritten the plane's Thrust Management Computer code. This allowed him to issue a climb command and make the plane serve sideways.
The FBI has subsequently, confiscated two of his laptops along with several hard drives and USB sticks. Chris Roberts is the founder of security firm One World Labs and his intentions probably were to make the security people more conscious about the reach of hackers.
He sent alarm bells ringing when he said might hack the onboard systems of the domestic United Airlines flight that he was traveling on. Of course, he was subsequently questioned for four hours in Syracuse, New York. His rime – he had jokingly told his 5,000 Twitter followers that he could hack the airplane's system and make its oxygen masks deploy.

#LaGuardiaAirport #NewYork #DeltaAirLines #FlushingBay It was a miraculous escape for the passengers on board a Delta Airlines plane when it ended up just meters from the waterfront after crashing through a fence as it skidded off the runway No 13 of LaGuardia airport, New York. This has been reported by news.sky.com dated 5 March 2015.
The plane was carrying 127 passengers and five crew and it apparently veered off while landing at the airport during a snowstorm. The nose of the aircraft ended up lying over the fence at the edge of Flushing Bay.
The aircraft had veered to the left when it was about 4,500-5,000ft down the 7,000ft long runway and the reason for the skidding is yet to be established.
The incident occurred on Flight 1086 from Atlanta and they were evacuated via the escape slides and subsequently shifted by buses to a nearby terminal. It seems at least six people were hurt but the authorities have said the injuries were minor. The temperature was around -3C (26F).
