Its width is 66 meters which makes it the widest cruise ship ever built and its length is 362-metre - this makes it 50 meters longer than the height of the Eiffel Tower. The Harmony of the Seas is a sort of floating town and cost close to one billion euros (dollars). It boasts of 16 decks and can carry 6,360 passengers and 2,100 crew members.
Among its onboard attractions are -
- "The Ultimate Abyss", a 10-storey slide from the top deck to the boardwalk which RRCL bills as the world's biggest ship-mounted slide (this purple slide can be clearly seen at the rear of the ship)
- A giant climbing wall, a rope slide, mini-golf, surf simulator, floating jacuzzis, casino
- 1,400-seat theater playing Broadway musicals
- Two robot barmen will serve passengers in the "Bionic Bar"
- It has its own high street, and a "Central Park" deck that features 12,000 plant species
After its maiden voyage, Harmony of the Seas will dock in its new home port of Barcelona a week later and begin regular cruises from late October.
