Why does a woman require a man?

We have heard about women’s lib and equality of the sexes and the phrase ‘what a man can do, a woman can do better’. But, the fact remains that a life without a man around is difficult to imagine because, they also have their uses.
This is what a woman discovered the hard way six months after moving, all alone, into an idyllic country cottage. It seems she was so confident of her abilities to do things on her own that she had a framed cartoon of Irina Dunn's famous feminist phrase, 'A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle', hanging on her study wall.
But, she has realized and has listed at least 50 different things that are impossible unless there is a man around. A few of these are listed below –
To zip — and unzip — tricky party dresses
To change halogen lights in the bathroom
To lug a 6-ft Christmas tree home, stand it up and then put a star on top
To scratch that hard-to-reach itchy spot in the middle of the back
To take the dog for a walk in the rain
To pick up dog poo in any weather
To give his strong shoulders to cry on
To have a man who knows the difference between a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver
To identify which of the dozen cables at the back of the TV set needs to be fiddle with when the 'no signal' message comes on screen
There are many other such instances at the link here.
