2015 will see the end of bikini clad contestants in Miss World pageant

#nomorebikinis 2014 Miss World pageant was the last we would see of bikini clad beauties of the world because it has been decided that this swimsuit segment of the pageant would not be there from 2015 onwards. That is the decision of the organizers.
Chris Wilmer, the national director of Miss World America/Miss United States organization, has asserted that the organization has decided to take itself out of the swimsuit world because it this is not just a beauty contest, but is one of "beauty with a purpose". Therefore, the purpose of a swimsuit becomes meaningless.
The Chairwoman of the Organization Julia Morley has announced that Miss World will no longer feature a swimsuit round in their competition. Chris Wilmer has informed that Miss World was more of an ambassador, not a beauty queen and it was more about the outreach and what a woman could do with a title like Miss World.
Rolene Strauss of South Africa was crowned the 64th Miss World winner in London on 14th December, 2014 as it marked the final event featuring contestants wearing bikinis.
Once this decision is implemented, it would mean that the Miss World competition would be going against the grain because the swimsuit competition is believed to be one of the most popular portions of a beauty pageant. People love to get an eyeful of beautiful women showing off their enviable figures in tiny two-pieces. This would be the first time in 63 years that Miss World will no longer feature a swimsuit round in their competition.
