The first of the stalls from the toll plaza had begun operation five years back and, later, others have sprung up. There are a few chairs and tables in some stalls but most of the patrons prefer takeaways. There is no parking space in front of the stalls and those who come in cars or motorbikes prefer takeaways.
The standard rate for a plate of chicken biryani is Rs 70 and mutton biryani Rs 80. Price is certainly a determining factor in Howrah and it is a challenge is to provide the same quality and taste as biryani brands of Calcutta, at affordable rates on the Kona Expressway.
