This has been reported in telegraphindia.com dated 12 February 2016.
Participants can look forward to walking barefoot on the beach and experiencing coastal life with interaction with the fishermen community who live on the beaches and the wildlife. It will be a 33-Km journey and, on the way, they would also aim to create consciousness among the local people about various issues relating to climate change apart from results of environmental degradation.
The organizers have plans to distribute pamphlets among the fishermen explaining them about the various ecological problems that they need to be aware of for their own benefit.
The group had conducted a similar event last year but, it was limited among acquaintances only. It had drawn a good response and, therefore, this time they have widened the ambit and invited youngsters and people from various sections of society be a part of the expedition.
Around 50 people have already registered for the trip which will start from Baliharchandi on February 13 and the plan is to reach Dhalabali by evening to witness the sunset there. The team would camp on the beach for the night and enjoy the calmness of the sea. Next morning, after breakfast on the beach, they will start on the return journey.
