Mystery of 100-plus eggs hitting the front door of an 85-year-old Cleveland man's house

#eggthrowing #euclid #ohio #cleveland A detective is wanted badly to solve the mystery of egg-throwing in Cleveland. The owner of a house, an 85-year-old man, in Cleveland and the police of Euclid are totally clueless and stumped and unable to find out who is throwing eggs at the front door. This to in spite of stakeouts, questioning neighbors, installing a surveillance camera, testing eggshells as evidence and announcing a reward of $1000. This has been reported in foxnews.com dated 6 March 2015.
The owner Albert Clemens Sr. has revealed that the door is targeted with accuracy and the attacks happen at nighttime. At times, five or six are thrown at a time and usually strikes the front door of the green, two-story home. He and his late wife had purchased it nearly six decades ago.
He has also explained that these nocturnal attacks at times sound like gunshots as the eggs splatter on the aluminum siding damaging the paint.
Police have traced the eggs to a local Amish farm, but it is not possible to fingerprint the broken shells because the egg proteins destroy any DNA.
The only way out would be for a detective like Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple to descend on the scene – they could try to pry out the necessary information and nail the culprit. It could be a schoolboy who had been punished by the owner of the house – he could have deflated the tyre of the kid’s bicycle!!
