Prime Minister Modi and his Mann KI Baat

#MannKiBaat Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in treading untraveled paths and one of his innovations is his monthly program Mann Ki Baat – this, when translated, would mean ‘from my heart’.
The Prime Minister of India has proved that he is no ordinary politician because there is no record of any senior politician carrying out such duties to embrace the common man and share their problems. His strategies have kept everyone spellbound.
Coming up from the ranks of a common man, he has forced his critics to rethink their strategies and his foreign policy has left the world dumb struck because he is at ease with the Chinese and the Japanese, as he is with the Russians and the Americans.
To him, each of these is an area to be won over.
His Mann KI Baat program is aired over All India Radio Akashvani and reaches out to remote villages and his intention is to share his innermost thoughts with others and, simultaneously, educate the millions of Indians through his easy-to-understand words and his unique method of rendering.
He began this program on 3rd October on Vijayadashami day followed by the second one on 2nd November and his topic for the 3rd edition was – say no to drugs.
In his latest speech he has said that drugs is a "3D problem - darkness, destruction, devastation" – terrorists are a result of drug addiction. Prime Minister Modi has also added that the government will start a toll-free helpline to tackle the issue because the parents, at times, hesitate to discuss the matter which is sensitive.
