AirAsia India offers cheap air travel – one-way ticket in India to cost Rs 699

Filling up seats in flights during lean seasons is a problem that is faced by all airlines and AirAsia India has come up with a plan that could revolutionize air travel in India with their one-way fares as low as Rs 699.
The all-inclusive one way fare starts from as low as Rs 699 for flights from Bengaluru to Chennai, Kochi, Goa, Jaipur and Chandigarh and vice versa.
Moreover, the Malaysian parent company is also offering fares of Rs 2,599 on flights from Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Tiruchirappalli and Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur – these flights would be operated by AirAsia Berhad and the Chennai to Bangkok would be by Thai AirAsia.
As per the press release the booking of tickets can be done on AirAsia's website till November 16, for travel during the period from June 10 next year to January 17, 2016.
This reduction in fares is a part of promotional exercise of the Malaysian parent company AirAsia – it is a 'Big Sale' with three million promotional seats on offer through its network from Kuala Lumpur, with a starting fare of Rs 2,599 for international flights operated by AirAsia Berhad and Thai AirAsia.
Incidentally, many airlines offer cheap fares in lean seasons because none of them would want to takeoff with empty seats. It seems both IndiGo and SpiceJet had offered discounted fares valid for bookings between July 15-17.
The reduced fares for IndiGo, the biggest carrier by the number of passengers carried, was starting from Rs 1,699 (all inclusive), while fares for SpiceJet the second largest budget carrier is offering fares, was starting from Rs 1,999, inclusive of taxes for travel anywhere in India.
