Warning to British tourists going to Barcelona – beware of conmen

British holidaymakers who plan on summer road trips to Spain have been warned to be careful against conmen who ae on the prowl. In case the tourists fall into their trap, their travel plans may blow up in their face.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 10 July 2015.
It is done by biker gangs and the modus operandi is to slash the tires of the car and point out to the river that there is a blown out tire. The drivers are helpless in their grip and have to shell out up to £1,000 for a new tire. The poor tourists have no choice but to fork out the cash for something that would cost little over £40 back home in the UK.
The gang has their own people to tow the car to the garage for the necessary tire change and the garage is also a part of their setup.

Germanwings Airbus A320 crashes in French Alps, all 150 on board killed

#germanwings #4U9525 #lufthansa #AirbusA320 #mayday The crash of an Airbus A320 Flight 4U9525 operated by the budget carrier of Germany's Lufthansa, Germanwings, has crashed in a remote area of the French Alps and all 150 on board including passengers and crew. This is believed to be the worst aviation disaster on French soil in decades.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 25 March 2015.
The aircraft was carrying 144 passengers, most of them were Spanish and German -- including two babies -- and six crew. They were on their way from Barcelona to the western German city of Duesseldorf when it crashed. It is understood from German authorities that there were 16 German teenagers on a school trip on the doomed plane.
There was no May Day message from the aircraft and the authorities have managed to recover a black box from the crash site. Rescue efforts are seriously hampered due to the rough mountainous terrain.
As per the budget airline Germanwings, the Airbus had plunged for eight minutes but French aviation officials informed that there was no distress call made from the aircraft before it crashed near the ski resort of Barcelonnette.
Weather has been ruled out as a probable reason for the crash because the weather conditions were “calm" at the time.
German flag carrier Lufthansa has indicated that it was working on the assumption the crash of the 24-year-old Airbus A320 aircraft was an "accident".
