The first Waitrose cashless store is located on the campus of Sky Central, the new office building at the heart of the broadcasting giant’s empire in west London and it will cater to over 3,500 staff on completion this summer - this could be a template for other stores where there are no conventional tills.
These moves are a part of a wider drive by banks, retailers, and public transport services to kill off cash.
