Good times for Indian cricket – MCA lifts ban on SRK

It is a huge relief for Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the IPL team of Kolkata Knight Riders, when the Mumbai Cricket Association lifted the ban on him from entering the Wankhede Stadium. The five-year ban was slapped in 2012 and the Bollywood superstar was not allowed to enter the iconic Mumbai stadium because of his alleged misbehavior at the ground.
This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 2 August 2015.
The lifting of the ban had the prior approval of President Sharad Pawar.
As explained by the board, action had been taken when required and the general feeling was not to extend any further. It may be recalled that Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), had misbehaved with security personnel and MCA officials after a match at the Wankhede stadium.
SRK is a relieved owner now because no one likes to sit it out when his team is playing and the IPL matches are on in the Wankhede Stadium.
