From initial information, several apple trees along with agricultural land have been washed away in Lapas village of Manikaran Valley. The gushing water has damaged the hydel project. Moreover, the water level in the two large reservoirs in Niharni and Siund areas are also rising and the administration is worried.
Border Roads Organization (BRO) has decided to close the Tandi-Sansarimarg Road after 3pm every day till July 31. It will remain open only during the day between 6am and 3pm. This highway is lifeline for the tribals of Killar, Pangi of Chamba and Udaipur subdivision of Lahaul and they should cross the nullah before 3pm.
