Mission India: Five foreigners on a rickshaw run to spread education among Indian girls

#educationforgirls #childlabourer They are five young foreigners and they have embarked on a noble task. Their Mission India is to spread the message of education to the girls. They are Paul Neil, an adventurer and social entrepreneur from Austria, Clare Wong, a Chinese teacher and entrepreneur from Hong Kong, Sofia Ramirez, a social innovator and technology developer from Chile in South America, Thomas Boarder, a video producer from Australia, and Philippe Angst, a communication specialist from Switzerland.
They began their journey called rickshaw run from Cochin on January 1 as part of an adventure journey and would drive for about 9 hours a day to complete their 3,000-Km trip, which would finally stop in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) on January 14. As Neil explained - the trip is held thrice every year and the group wants to make it "more meaningful" by visiting schools on their way to understand the education system in the country. It seems they have been associated with an NGO that encourages girls to get educated.
And, Wong has added that the girl children want to get educated and various NGOs are trying to prevent them from ending up as child laborers.
There’s is a noble mission and, let us hope that their work will not go in vain.
