The Polish company Liveform and Rollespilsfabrikken had first staged a Live Action Role Play (LARP) event based on the J.K. Rowling blockbuster book series and it was a huge success. It was attended by 180 participants from 11 countries and they traveled to Poland and donned wizard robes and cast spells.
The teams would now be staging two more four-day sessions in April-2015 at a stunning castle in Czocha, Poland. The sessions by LARP-ers will conduct classes like Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions, play Quidditch, and even attend a magical ball.
It has been explained by the organizers that it would be similar to games that children play when they pretend that the curtains as robes and sticks are wands and run around and try to take on the role of witches and wizards. Only – this modern day experience would be for grownups who would don nicer costumes. A lot of planning would go into designing interactive experiences for each other.
The event would cost about $220 to attend, the attendees who play professors, ghouls and other mythical creatures are all volunteers. The organizers of the College of Wizardry has indicated that there could be around 160 people at each session next year. The charges include lodging and food.
