Bloodbath in Syria – ISIS has executed nearly 2000 people in six months

#ISIS #Syria #SOHR It is revealed that ISIS has killed nearly 2000 people in Syria during the past six months, the majority of them civilians. It has killed 1878 civilians plus 120 of its own members most of who are foreign fighters who wanted to leave and return home. This is for the period of the last two months, as per the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
These statistics depict the barbarism of the Islamic State jihadist group and has come to light through a report of a British-based Syrian monitoring organization.
It may be recalled that this jihadist group has taken vast parts of Iraq and Syria and declared a caliphate in territory under its control in June and, ever since then, it has been engaged in barbaric bloodshed and fought the Syrian and Iraqi governments, other insurgents and Kurdish forces.
The extent of atrocities perpetrated by Islamic State has been publicized by them through beheadings and stoning of people in areas that is controlled by it in Syria and Iraq. These are believed to be punishment for actions that, in its opinion, amounts of violation of its interpretation of Islamic law, such as adultery, homosexuality, stealing and blasphemy.
The group is an offshoot of al-Qaida and it has also released videos of executions of captured enemy fighters, activists and journalists. Some of these are two US journalists, and one American and two British aid workers - this is seen to be its attempts to put pressure on a US-led international coalition, which has been carrying out airstrikes in Syria since September.
