Grapes can help those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease

A recent study has revealed that regular intake of grapes can ward off the evils of Alzheimer's disease. Consuming the fruit on a daily basis might provide protection against Alzheimer's disease by preventing metabolic brain decline. It will also improve attention and memory power.
This has been reported in deccanherald.com dated 4 February 2017.
Research conducted by the University of California, Los Angeles, has revealed that consuming grapes twice a day for six months gave protection against significant metabolic decline in Alzheimer's-related areas of the brain. The study was carried out among people with early memory decline.
Low metabolic activity in certain parts of the brain is a hallmark of early stage Alzheimer's disease. Results showed that consuming grapes preserved healthy metabolic activity in the regions of the brain that are affected by the earliest stages of Alzheimer's disease. Metabolic decline usually takes hold in these areas.
