Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is active and erupting from two places

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is active and is a lake of lava bubbling and splattering at its summit after it rose to one of its highest level in 42 years. Kilauea is one of the world's most active volcanoes and has been erupting continuously since 1983. At preset it is erupting from two places namely the summit's Halemaumau crater and the Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 13 September 2016.
Geologists have indicated that the rising lava lake reveals a new period of activity from the 4,100 feet high volcano because the summit has continuously risen and shrank in the past few days. The lava lake in the crater at the summit is unusually high and has risen to within 16 feet of the rim that contains it.
Scientists at the US Geological Survey (USGS) have said that it was part of a long term inflation of the summit magma reservoir that has been ongoing since 2010. The lava had spilled onto the crater floor in May last year, raising the rim that confines the lake by 30 feet. Earlier to that, the lava lake was last this high in 1974.
Lava flows pouring from the Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater in the eastern rift zone of Kilauea are traveling into the ocean at Kamokuna, creating two huge plumes of steam. In the opinion of scientists, these flows do not pose any risk to nearby communities.
Incidentally, the eruptions at the summit had produced a colorful light display for visitors to Jaggar Museum at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
