New Zealand girl feasts on scorpions - ate 10 in 90 seconds during a trip to Thailand

#NelaZisser #MissEarthNewZealand #YouTube She is Nela Zisser, a 23-year-old model-turned-competition-eater of New Zealand and the former Miss Earth New Zealand and she has been munching up a storm in Asia. While on a whirlwind trip to Thailand, she devoured 10 scorpions in 90 seconds, scoffed a hairy tarantula and downed a 2-Kg feast of chicken curry.

She later admitted that the scorpions looked disgusting but they didn't taste all that bad. In fact, they were crunchy, salty and a bit weird, but not unlike beef jerky. She also admitted that the large tarantula was by far the worst thing that she had eaten - it was deep-fried and very dry but it was also pretty hairy and she had trouble keeping it down.
But, not to be outdone, she said that she will have a go at eating just about anything but not a tarantula again. Videos of the Aucklander's bizarre gastronomic exploits have been viewed more than 2.5 million times on her YouTube channel titled "Nela Eats".
Her other achievements in the foodie department are - chomping through 120 chicken nuggets in 16 minutes, 10 Filet-o-Fish in under six minutes and downing five foot-long sandwiches in just over nine minutes. While doing the last, she beat Aussie champion Matt Stonie's time of nine minutes and 32 seconds by 15 seconds.
She has plans to travel to the United States where most of her fans are based and take on a number of big prize eating challenges.
