World Cup cricketer of Vadodara sells moong kachoris to make ends meet

Cricket is not always a paying game unless one has exceptional talents or useful connections. Probably that is why a cricketer of Vadodara, who had played in a cricket World Cup, has to now sell moong kachoris from a roadside stall to make both ends meet.
This has been reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 28 November 2015.
He is 30-year-old Imran Sheikh. Ten years ago, he had slammed crucial half centuries that helped India win the cricket World Cup for the deaf and mute cricket and this all-round performance had promoted him to become Captain of Indian team three years ago.
Unfortunately, he is now forced to sell 'moong kachori' at a roadside stall on the Old Padra Road.
He began this about a week ago with his wife Roza to make ends meet. Playing deaf and mute cricket matches does not translate into big money and he has a temporary job in Gujarat Refinery that had been arranged by his coach Nitendra Singh.
He is a six-footer and started playing cricket at the age of 15 at the Bhutadizampa ground. Later he got into Gujarat team and from there into the Indian team. He had scored 70 runs against Nepal, 60 against New Zealand and then scored a match-winning 62 against Pakistan in 2005 world cup semi-finals. Finally, he scored a valuable 40-run knock and bagged three wickets in the finals against England to help India win the World Cup.
