Warning to British tourists going to Barcelona – beware of conmen

British holidaymakers who plan on summer road trips to Spain have been warned to be careful against conmen who ae on the prowl. In case the tourists fall into their trap, their travel plans may blow up in their face.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 10 July 2015.
It is done by biker gangs and the modus operandi is to slash the tires of the car and point out to the river that there is a blown out tire. The drivers are helpless in their grip and have to shell out up to £1,000 for a new tire. The poor tourists have no choice but to fork out the cash for something that would cost little over £40 back home in the UK.
The gang has their own people to tow the car to the garage for the necessary tire change and the garage is also a part of their setup.
