Uttar Pradesh repents and repeals ban on screening of films in luxury buses

The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has been incurring heavy losses because of its ban on screening of films at its air-cooled buses. These movie shows used to be a routine affair till 2012 when it was stopped.
The ban was because of the complaint of a woman passenger that porn movies are being shown in a bus on Lucknow-Allahabad route. A probe committee found the movie to be a Bollywood mainstream movie meant for adult audience.
This has been reported in news18.com dated 25 July 2015.
As a result, screening of movies was banned on all routes and UPSRTC plans to re-start the service on the Allahabad-Lucknow route only, in order to extend additional facilities to its passengers and improve its image to attract passengers.
The authorities have assured that the incident of showing soft porn Bollywood film will not repeated.
