Killer spider in a bunch of bananas sends Warwickshire family fleeing

Spiders can be dangerous as we have seen in the famous James Bond movie Dr. No when a tarantula was released into the room of 007. James escaped unhurt. And, now, a Brazilian wandering spider has sent a family of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, packing.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 7 June 2015.
This species of spider is believed to be the world's deadliest one and it is feared to be on the loose somewhere in Britain after a family spotted a nest in a bunch of bananas. The family of six fled the place when they discovered the truth. These spiders can have legs up to 15cm long and can kill with its venomous bite.
The bananas had been brought by a relative from an Aldi store in Leicestershire.
The venom from this species can kill a person in two hours – the victims will suffer nausea, hypothermia and convulsions. These spiders are fast moving and aggressive and have a body up to 5cm long, six small eyes and two large ones, and large red fangs that it displays by raising its front two legs.
It has been declared the most venomous spider in the world by the Guinness Book of Records and is found South and Central America.
Incidentally, its Greek name, Phoneutria, translates as "murderess". (Image courtesy wikimediacommons.org)
