IPL8 – a fight between two Davids but, SRH finally beat KXIP by 5 runs to move up to 4th spot


#IPL8 #SRHvKXIP #DavidWarner #DavidMiller #DavidvsDavid Batting first, Sun Risers Hyderabad put up a score of 185 for the loss of 5 wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, and, in the run chase, Kings XI Punjab fell short by 5 runs. Thereby, SRH moved up the points table to 4th spot and dislodged Royal Challengers Bangalore.

It was a fight between two Davids - David Warner, captain of SRH, scored 81 runs with six fours and five sixes and David Miller of KXIP who remained not out on 89 from two fours and nine sixes, was unable to retrieve the situation. Moises Henriques played spoilsport with his 3 for 16. His victims were Captain George Bailey, wicketkeeper Wriddiman Saha and Gurkeerat Singh Mann.
KXIP failed to overhaul the score of SRH and fell to the lowest spot with only 2 with in 12 games. Incidentally, in IPL7, KXIPP was a finalist and lost to KKR.
David Warner was declared the Man of the Match.
