French tourists rescue a 16ft anaconda injured with gunshot wound in Colombia


A young tourist couple of France to Colombia had rescued a giant anaconda measuring 16ft in length and weighing nearly 100Kg. They had taken help of locals who had indicated that the snake was wounded and was hiding in the bushes behind a resort.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 24 May 2015.
The snake was suffering from a gunshot wound and the French couple videoed the rescue mission which shows the locals bagging up the anaconda and taking it to a nearby lagoon four miles away from the reserve. The snake is four-years-old. The incident is of 2013 and the footage was captured when they had visited in Los Llanos in 2013 and has only been released only now.
