Death toll in swine flu in India crosses the 1000 mark with more than 18000 affected


#swineflu #JPNadda #H1N1 #health Figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that the total number of deaths due to swine flu has reached 1,005, while the number of those affected was 18,105 till yesterday. This has been informed by Health Minister J P Nadda while he was responding to questions on the issue in the Lok Sabha and reported in zeenews.india.com dated 27 February 2015.
He has also added that there are only 21 laboratories for testing swine flu and that is inadequate therefore there are plans to set up H1N1 testing laboratories in every state of the country for which necessary financial provisions are being made.
Most of the casualties have been in Rajasthan where the toll is 251 and in Gujarat where it was 246. The figures for other states are 143 in Madhya Pradhesh while Maharashtra reported 125, 56 in Telangana, and 10 in Delhi.
