Toilet etiquette in trains for Asians – Swiss pictograms

Switzerland is facing problems with those who arrive from Asia and the Middle East. They land up in the country and travel by trains and, many of them are not aware of the basic etiquette of using these toilets. Therefore, the Swiss authorities have put up pictograms for such people on how to make use of the facilities.
This has been reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 6 July 2015.
Some of these pictograms have appeared on trains in the popular tourist destination of Mount Rigi in the Swiss Alps. These instruct users to sit on toilet seats rather than to squat on them and to discard used toilet paper in the lavatory and not in the waste bin.
There have also been instances of the foreign tourists of defecating in the shower.
Switzerland is well known for its cleanliness and, therefore, is doing its best to teach new visitors Western toilet etiquette.
Similar action had been taken in March last year by Lloyds Bank's Old Broad Street office in central London. They had also put up instructions telling foreign staff on how to use the loo. Like - 'sit on the toilet - do not stand on it', and 'please flush it with your hand and not your foot'.
