Visitors can see the cubs after they are vaccinated and fit to be exhibited.
With this new addition, the zoo now has 10 lions, including two females.
This has been reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 4 February 2017.
Authorities believe that the arrival of new zoo members is a sign of success of their special conservation and breeding program that is in vogue for all animals in captivity. This has been achieved by creating a natural atmosphere for the breeding of zoo inmates.
The lioness Megha is a six-year-old and in 2015, she had given birth to four cubs. They are all growing up and healthy. She had been inducted in early 2014 from Kanan Pendari Zoo Park (Bilaspur) in exchange for a white tigress. However, the zoo authorities are worried because she had killed all the cubs from her first litter - she picked them up by the flesh rather than skin around their neck.
