Monkey business holds up shooting of Pirates of the Caribbean in Gold Coast

Johnny Depp and his Pirates series have made waves all over the world but a monkey has thrown the shooting schedule of Pirates 5 out of gear.
It is reported that shooting for Pirates of the Caribbean 5 could be delayed, because Jack the capuchin monkey who is an important characters in the movie would be stuck in quarantine for more than a month. The producers of the movie need to convince local authorities to relax their strict biosecurity laws so that the monkey can carry on its business.
Jack, the monkey, is the cheeky and bad-tempered offsider to Geoffrey Rush's character Captain Hector Barbossa and has been seen in all four previous Pirates instalments – the role is usually played by two specially trained monkeys. As per Australian laws, all animals entering the country must undergo "rigorous health and biosecurity checks" and once this particular species of animal arrives in Australia, they are subject to a 30-day quarantine period.
Then only can they be released under quarantine surveillance into premises that have been approved by the appropriate State or Territory Government.
The set for the Gold Coast for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is ready for shooting to begin that has, now, been delayed.
