Denmark overtakes South Korea as the most connected country for mobiles and internet

As far as mobile and internet connectivity are concerned, Denmark has overtaken South Korea as the world's top country for mobile phone and internet use. Following them is Sweden in third place and then Iceland and Britain. This emphasizes the truth about the dominance of Europe as per the studies carried out by the International Telecommunication Union, a leading analyst for information and communication technologies, or ICTs.
As to Asia, Hong Kong leads – it is placed at the ninth place in the world rankings while the United States came 14th. The Central African Republic was last, part of a long list of African countries bringing up the tail of the list.
The ICT development index of the International Telecommunications Union considers internet and mobile phone access and use, and the population's competence with the technology. The report reveals that over three billion people are now online and information and communication technology growth remains buoyant all over the world.
Unfortunately, nearly 4.3 billion people still remain unconnected and 90 per cent of them are from the developing countries.
