Jodhpur gets global recognition as 10th most attractive tourist spot

Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan, has earned the distinction of being been ranked as the 10th globally most attractive tourist spot and the 3rd such spot in Asia. This has been done by a popular travel site TripAdvisor. The results are as per the global 'Travellers' Choice awards for 2017 and Rajasthan continues to attract travelers.
This has been reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 7 December 2016.
The city of Jodhpur boasts of majestic forts, palaces, and remnants of the glorious past, is at number three in the list as far as Asia is concerned.
TripAdvisor is a travel planning and booking site and, Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, has taken the No 1 spot for Asia while the laid-back local scene of San Jose del Cabo in Mexico is the No 1 spot in the world.
The awards has identified 43 destinations around the world and the ranking is done by an algorithm primarily measured by year-over-year increase in positive TripAdvisor traveller review ratings for accommodations, restaurants and attractions, and increase in booking interest.
Incidentally, this is the fifth year of the awards and Travellers' Choice Destinations on the Rise list.
