Selfie sticks on the way out

Selfie sticks appear to be on their way out as British retail giant John Lewis revealed that its sales are down 50 per cent. These have already been banned at the Australian Open, Sydney's Qantas Credit Union Arena, and Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium and, Soundwave promoters also plan to crack down on such devices.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 26 October 2016.
In addition to the above, selfie sticks are not allowed into Disney theme parks, huge festivals like Coachella, or major landmarks like the Palace of Versailles or the Colosseum.
A survey on 1000 people in 20 countries conducted by a travel company, it seems almost four in 10 Brits see red when travelers pulled out the controversial gadget, while Spaniards are the most tolerant. At the other end of the spectrum are Brazilians who are the worst offenders, with 55 per cent of people admitting to having used one in a recent survey while only four per cent of people from Finland have used a selfie stick.
In short, selfie sticks are annoying, dangerous, and downright bizarre and people have finally realized that their own arms can do the job just fine.
