Man hijacks a bus in Toronto to reach a donut joint - arrested

It takes all sorts to make a world and this happens to be a case of misplaced priorities when a man hijacked a busfull of passengers to a donut joint to lay hand on the choicest snacks. The mas was a Canadian man of Toronto and he hijacked a city bus and demanded he be taken to Tim Hortons which is a popular coffee and donut chain. This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 19 March 2016.
Investigation has revealed that the 31-year-old man had boarded the bus just past midnight in York Region, north of Toronto, and forced the driver at knife-point to bypass several red lights at high speed before eventually demanding to be dropped off at a Tim Hortons. It seems he had taken an overdose of drugs.
Police arrested the man and charged him with assault with a weapon, mischief endangering a life, forcible confinement, uttering threats and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
Neither the bus driver nor anyone else on the bus was injured but, the bus driver was "shaken" by what it called a "brazen crime".
