An Australian merino sheep with overgrown wool poses a challenge

Wanted urgently – a shearer for a merino sheep in Canberra. This extremely woolly merino sheep was seen by bushwalkers wandering on its own near Mulligan Flats which is a grassy woodland just outside the national capital Canberra.
They have alerted the local RSPCA officers who did head out to the area, but had to return with reinforcements after noting the huge size of the creature.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 3 September 2015.
Australian animal welfare officers have had to put out an urgent appeal for shearers after finding this monster of a sheep. Its wool was so overgrown its life was in danger and, a national champion is set to take on the challenge. One of these sheep could grow up to seven centimeters of wool every year.
Merino sheep are bred for their sought-after wool and can experience health issues, or even die, if not sheared regularly.
This animal's voluminous fleece could rival New Zealand's most famous sheep which was found in 2004 following six years on the loose after going missing from its herd in 1998. The name of this sheep, also a merino, was Shrek and it was found in a mountain cave. It was shorn of nearly 27-Kg of fleece in an operation that was broadcast live around the world. It was, however, put down in 2011 aged 16 due to its failing health.
