Superyacht Ocean Victory, owned by Russian steel billionaire Viktor Rashnikov, docks in Auckland


The superyacht Ocean Victory, owned by Russian steel billionaire Viktor Rashnikov, has docked in Auckland. It is one of the largest yachts in the world. It is 140m in length and is ranked ninth largest yacht in the world. This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 20 July 2015.
Ocean Victory has seven decks, and an internal floatable dock for a 14m tender and, it boasts of an on-deck jacuzzi, six swimming pools, a gym, a helipad and a helicopter hanger, apart from a movie theatre and a beauty salon.
The construction of this superyacht was by Fincantieri in Italy and was completed in 2014 and it is currently docked in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter at Silo Park Marina. It had travelled from Fiji and is expected to stay in the City of Sails until mid-September.
Incidentally, Viktor Rashnikov is 66-year-old and a self-made billionaire. He started at Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works as a mechanic and rose to become its general director, with almost 100 per cent shares in the business. His net worth is US$4.7 billion ($7.2 billion) according to Forbes. He is placed as the 28th richest person in Russia.
