This has been reported in espncricinfo.com dated 10 July 2015.
But, Ambati Rayudu changed all that and, with Stuart Billy gave a respectable total for the Indian bowlers to defend. Stuart Binny cracked three fours and a six to finish with 77 off 76 while India managed to score 51 in the last five overs. These two batsmen put on 160 runs off 147 balls and their partnership was India’s highest sixth wicket partnership in ODIs.
Rayudu remained not out on 124 and was adjudged Man of the Match.
It was a chaseable total but, in the run chase, Zimbabwe could not emerge winners in spite of an unbeaten century by Captain Elton Chigumbura. He remained till the last ball but could not hit the boundary that would have given his team the win. Bhubaneshwar Kumar’s unplayable yorkers did the trick for India.
