She somehow managed to drag herself out of the park and to a more public place from where she flagged down a taxi and went to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. By that time she was in a bad shape, she had lost all feeling in her lower legs and feet.
The doctors in the neurology unit found that she had significant damage to her muscle and nerve fibers and it was due to the skinny jeans she was wearing. Her legs had swollen up to such an extent that doctors had to cut off the jeans to get her out of it.
She was lucky to have received immediate medical attention – doctors treated her with intravenous fluids and, within four days, she was had recovered and was fit to walk again without assistance.
