School in East Yorkshire bans short skirts

A school in East Yorkshire is banning short skirts because male teachers face embarrassment when they try to discipline on their too high hemlines and try to tell the girls to dress as per norms. The school has issued a diktat that teenagers who reveal too much leg would face being sent into an "isolation room" for breaching the new uniform code.
This has been reported in telegraphindia.com dated 16 June 2015.
The clampdown was apparently ordered by the head teacher after a male teacher was told by a girl he was admonishing that he should not be looking at her legs.
Head teacher Sarah Pashley of Bessingby Road Secondary in Bridlington, East Yorkshire has also accused female students of "pushing the boundaries" by wearing figure-hugging trousers.
However many parents are not happy because they have to now buy uniform trousers only from approved shops which, in their opinion, are more expensive. These parents say that the dress restrictions should also apply to women teachers, some of who come dressed in high heels, short skirts and low-cut blouses.
In fact, over 1,000 parents have petitioned against the new dress code of the school. But, the authorities are firm.
