To this, Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of State for Home, has reacted strongly by slamming Naqvi for his 'beef' remark and has said that it was not good.
This has been reported in zeenews.com dated 27 May 2015.
Kiren Rijiju has reportedly told reporters in Aizwal that he is from Arunachal Pradesh where people eat beef. He has suggested to Naqvi that no one should be touchy about somebody’s practices.
His reactions have come nearly a week after Naqvi, the Minister of State for Minority Affairs, had defended the ban on cow slaughter and beef in Maharashtra and Haryana, two of the states ruled by BJP.
Supporting the decision, Naqvi had remarked that it was a sensitive issue for the Hindus. He had also added that those who can't do without beef can go to Pakistan or Arab countries or any other part of world where it is available.
