WHO reveals – 16 million below age of 70 die every year due to bad lifestyle choices

#WorldHealthOrganization #badlifestyle #health #diabetes #cancer The world of today is fast paced and the result is that for a majority of us, our lifestyles have changed dramatically and we succumb to bad choices of lifestyles.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed that 16 million succumb to lifestyle diseases every year – these include diabetes and some types of cancers. These are nothing but "slow-moving public health disaster".
As per the findings of WHO, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), like cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, lung disease and a range of cancers, have taken the lives of 38 million people around the globe in 2012 – and, 16 million of them were below the age of 70.
Another worrying aspect is that majority of these 16 million premature NCD deaths each year - 82 per cent – are from poor and middle income countries.
The breakup provided by WHO is - six million due to tobacco use, 3.3 million deaths linked to alcohol abuse, 3.2 million to lacking physical activity and 1.7 million to eating too much salt.
The unhealthy habits identified are smoking, alcohol abuse and consuming too much fat, salt and sugar and these have sparked an epidemic of diseases which account for the leading cause of death all over the world.
We breakfast in one city, fly to another to attend a conference, hop to another engagement and fly back home in the night. Obviously, the body systems find it difficult to adjust to so many changes and withstand not only the rigors of travel but also the choice of foods and beverages. The result is popping pills and visiting the doctors.
