Hazaribagh town gears up for annual mahotsav from March 16

Hazaribagh town is gearing up to hold its annual mahotsav from March 16 - it will be a three-day cultural extravaganza with promises of a mixed platter of Indian classical, regional folk and Bollywood music and dance. It is termed as a revival of the old Hazaribagh mahotsav that had been launched way back in 2005 but, subsequently, discontinued due to lack of administrative will and efforts.
This has been reported in telegraphindia.com dated 2 March 2016.
It is understood that there would be renowned musicians to promote the town as a cultural hub of the region and tap its tourism potential. There will be ghazal apart from a Kavi Sammelan and famous Chau dances. The venue would be the old stadium for the cultural programs. Efforts are also on to rope in popular Bollywood singers. Moreover, there would be paragliding, parasailing and other aero and water sports for children. The water sports will be held at Hazaribagh Lakes while aero sports will be organised at Nagwa aerodrome.
