In fact, research has shown that using computers and participating in social activities can reduce the risk of developing age-related diseases in elders. Such of the elders who use computers and often engage in social activities are most likely to be relieved from age-related declines in thinking and memory.
This has been reported in zeenews.india.com dated 4 March 2016.
The simple logic is that as one ages, it becomes necessary to keep the mind active by keeping yourself busy because a sedentary lifestyle can bring a pause to your life and make you suffer enormously. Therefore engaging in activities related to the mind helps to maintain the mind healthier for a longer period of time.
The study has shown that elders who use computers at least once a week are less likely to develop thinking and memory problems than those who did not. Also, elders who took part in social activities with family and friends are less likely to develop age-related problems.
