Tis has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 20 March 2016.
The authorities have revealed that the vehicle hit a railing and then swerved on to the other side of the road on the AP7 highway in Tarragona, Spain, to collide with a vehicle that was coming from the opposite direction. The exact number of passengers from UK was not available but, as per local reports, the injured, mostly aged between 22 and 29, hailed from Switzerland, Norway, Turkey and Ukraine apart from Barcelona. The dead are all women.
The students were enrolled at the University of Barcelona as part of the European Erasmus exchange program. Preliminary reports indicate that the crash appeared to be down to 'human error' - the coach driver was a veteran with 17 years experience who had never been involved in an accident and had tested negative for drugs and alcohol. It appears to be a case of an undetermined human error and not a mechanical failure.
