This has been reported in ibnlive.com dated 18 January 2016.
The yoga session lasted for one hour and had the 270 dogs and their flexible owners in Hong Kong. It was led by 'doga' teacher, Suzette Ackerman, and the participants massaged, twisted and stretched their furry friends in a series of poses. As Ackerman has remarked - 'doga' is a great way to bond and relax with the pets in fast-paced cities like Hong Kong.
In a bust city like Hong Kong,, people do keep pets but these are usually looked for by carers and helpers who take the dogs for walks. Therefore,a concept like 'doga' class for at least an hour helps to connect with your pet. In such a scenario, there ae only the pet and its owner - no TV in between, no one calling up, no internet or Facebooking. It is just one hour to bond with your pet.
The record-breaking attempt has to be confirmed by the Guinness World Records but the organizers were confident that they had created a new record and that the previous record had been broken. The earlier record for largest 'doga' class was set in San Diego on January 25, 2015 with 265 people and their pups participating.
