Busy days for the Coast Guard – intercepts Iranian fishing boat off Kerala coast

The Indian Coast Guard is kept busy nowadays chasing intruders in the seas trying to unravel the mystery of what they are fishing for. First it was the Chinese fishing vessels on their way to Iran that had sought shelter in the coast of Diu after bad weather. Now, it is an Iranian fishing boat near the coast of Kerala.
This has been reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 5 July 2015.
The interception and seizure of the boat took place nearly 100-Km off the Kerala coast – the 12 crew members have been arrested. They are being questioned for possible smuggling and breach of India's national security.
It seems one satellite phone and a Pakistani identity card was found on the boat.
The boat had left Kalat in Iran on May 25 and it is possible that it was involved in the transfer of high-value contraband at high seas.
